Swimming at Louisiana State Parks

Be advised of the following regulations for Louisiana State Parks' swimming pools (Title 25, Part IX, §314. Swimming):

All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at any swimming area.
Glass containers of any kind are prohibited within any perimeter boundaries of pools, enclosed swimming areas, enclosed beach areas, water playgrounds and beach parks.
Only Coast Guard approved Type I or Type II Personal Flotation Devices are allowed in swimming areas.

Pools open for the summer season beginning Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 22.
All pool schedules are subject to change.
Louisiana State Parks' day-use pools are located at Chemin-A-Haut, Lake D'Arbonne and North Toledo Bend state parks. Use of all day-use pools is included with payment of entrance fee. Pools are open Memorial Day weekend to August 1 and closed Monday-Wednesday for maintenance, except for holiday Mondays. When pools are open for holiday Monday, pools will be closed for maintenance on the Tuesday-Thursday following the holiday Monday.
Pool hours are:
- Thursday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Water playgrounds are located at Bogue Chitto, Chicot, Fontainebleau, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bruin, Lake Fausse Pointe, Palmetto Island, Poverty Point Reservoir, St. Bernard and Tickfaw State Parks.
Louisiana State Parks' water playgrounds operate daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Louisiana State Parks' beach swimming areas are open year-round at Cypremort Point, Fontainebleau, Grand Isle, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bruin, Lake Claiborne, Poverty Point Reservoir and South Toledo Bend State Parks.
Swimming is allowed from sunrise to sunset.
