Burn Ban - Webster Parish (Lake Bistineau State Park)

A Parish wide burn ban is in effect for Webster Parish restricting outdoor burning at the following Louisiana State Parks: Lake Bistineau State Park. 

In most cases, the burn-ban order prohibits outdoor burning, including campfires. While outdoor cooking is permitted only within contained equipment designed for that purpose, such as gas grills or approved charcoal grills with a cover. All cooking must be conducted with a water source or fire extinguisher immediately available.

Lake Bistineau State Park - Lake Bistineau Drawdown

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) scheduled a drawdown of Lake Bistineau beginning August 12, 2026 for the purpose of reducing further expansion of giant salvinia. Lake Bistineau State Park boat launch and boat rentals will close for the drawdown period starting on August 12, 2026.
