Parish Burn Bans in Effect

Parish wide burn bans in effect restricting outdoor burning at the following Louisiana State Parks: Bogue Chitto, Chemin-A-Haut, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bistineau, Lake Claiborne, Lake D'Arbonne, Lake Fausse Pointe, North Toledo Bend, Palmetto Island, Sam Houston Jones and South Toledo Bend. 

In most cases, the burn-ban order prohibits outdoor burning, including campfires. While outdoor cooking is permitted only within contained equipment designed for that purpose, such as gas grills or approved charcoal grills with a cover. All cooking must be conducted with a water source or fire extinguisher immediately available.
