Parish Burn Bans in Effect

Parish wide burn bans in effect restricting outdoor burning at the following Louisiana State Parks: Bogue Chitto, Chemin A Haut, Chicot, Fairview-Riverside, Fontainebleau, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bistineau, Lake Claiborne, Lake D’Arbonne, Lake Fausse Pointe, North Toledo Bend, Palmetto Island, Poverty Point Reservoir, Sam Houston Jones and South Toledo Bend.

In most cases, the burn-ban order prohibits outdoor burning, including campfires. While outdoor cooking is permitted only within contained equipment designed for that purpose, such as gas grills or approved charcoal grills with a cover. All cooking must be conducted with a water source or fire extinguisher immediately available.
