What: A spring nature hike where we'll log as many observations as possible using the iNaturalist app for the City Nature Challenge.

Where: Tickfaw State Park - 27225 Patterson Rd, Springfield, LA

Who: Slowhike Company + the organizers of the 2026 City Nature Challenge, including Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge

We're competing with 800+ cities around the world to document local biodiversity. The goal: show off the incredible wildlife of the Baton Rouge region - plants, animals, insects, fungi, fish, turtles, and more.

How to Participate
Find wildlife - anything living counts
Take a photo - phone or camera works
Upload - add it to iNaturalist (app or website)
That's it! Your observation is automatically counted toward the challenge.

Any observations made across Southeast Louisiana during the event period will count.
