I FOUND THE ROUGAROU (ROUX-GA-ROUX) (Tickfaw)

The hunt for the Rougarou will be a monthly event on the 2nd Saturday of each month beginning on Jan. 11th, 2025 from 9 am until 4 pm. Children ages 9 - 14 will search the park for the Cajun Legend; the Roux-ga-roux (Rougarou) a creature similar to the European Werewolf. Participates will locate the Rougarou and photograph the creature and return with a photo. Were will the Rougarou be lurking? The participant who locates, photographs and returns with there proof to Entrance Station with the "fastest/best" time will be the month's winner. The winner will receive a small prize and be featured on the Park's Facebook page. Check-in at the Entrance Station to register, receive the rules and log your start time. Check high/low and left/right, can you find the Roux-ga-roux???
