First Day Nature Hike at Fairview-Riverside State Park

Kick off the New Year outdoors with a self-guided nature walk to connect with Louisiana’s natural beauty, history and culture at Fairview-Riverside State Park.  All are welcome to enjoy the easy ¼ mile ADA accessible Swamp Trail which is a flat wooden boardwalk path overlooking the Tchefuncte River and Cypress swamp.  While you are here, also visit the West side of the park to take a leisurely walk under the moss-covered live oak trees surrounding the historic Otis House, and continue down the unpaved nature trail for even more scenic river views.   

Day use entry fees are waived on these 2 days and Park admission is FREE
