Astronomy Night

Come join us at Bogue Chitto State Park for an afternoon of solar observing followed by an evening under the stars. You will be able to view many wonders of the universe thru telescopes operated by members of the Ponchartrain Astronomy Society out of New Orleans.

If the skies are clear you will first be able to view the sun using properly filtered telescopes. When night falls view the moon as well as other planets and other wonders of the night sky. 

Astronomy night viewing will be at the equestrian parking area.
