Chemin-A-Haut SP to Offer Sewer Hookups at Campsites

CHEMIN-A-HAUT STATE PARK TO OFFER SEWER HOOKUPS IN CAMPGROUND

BASTROP, La. – In response to customer feedback and requests for the service, Louisiana State Parks will offer full campsite hookups at Chemin-A-Haut State Park near Bastrop. The improved campsites will include water, electricity, and sewer utilities to make guests' visits more convenient as they can bypass stopping on-site to unload waste. The new configuration will be available beginning Friday, October 11; the campsites will rent for $33/night plus tax, Friday-Saturday, $30/night plus tax, Sunday-Thursday, April-September, and $25/night plus tax, Sunday-Thursday, October-March.

"This is a great amenity for the park, which will allow our guests an enhanced experience." said Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, whose office oversees Louisiana State Parks. "This is just one of many projects by our State Parks staff that will improve our services and make a stay at a Louisiana State Park more enjoyable."

Chemin-A-Haut State Park has 26 campsites; other overnight amenities include 14 cabins and a group camp. The park is located 13 miles northeast of Bastrop, just off La. Hwy. 425. Reservations can be made online at www.ReserveLaStateParks.com or by calling 833-609-0686.
