Campground improvement project underway at Fontainebleau, Tickfaw state parks
BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana State Parks Assistant Secretary Brandon Burris announced a campground improvement project to add full sewer hookups at two state parks – Fontainebleau State Park and Tickfaw State Park – is now under construction. In all, 136 campsites will be upgraded and the project is slated to be completed this fall.
The premium campsites will include water, electricity, and sewer utilities for a more convenient and enjoyable guest experience.
“It is important to continuously modernize and enhance our state parks so guests will continue coming back to enjoy the natural beauty of Louisiana,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “Adding in-demand amenities like full hook-up campsites is a great example. We intend to systematically add full hookups across the park system as funding becomes available.”
