Join Interpretive Ranger, Philip Frey, as he discusses the fascinating world of animal pelts and hides! Discover how different animals use their fur and skin to stay safe in the wild. Philip will share stories about how early humans used pelts to keep warm in the cold and how they crafted beautiful items from hides.
You'll learn about the unique patterns and colors of different furs and how they help animals blend into their surroundings. Plus, you'll get to touch some samples of real pelts and hides, and even see some reptile skins!
