WINTER PREP: MEAT PRESERVATION

In the 18th century fall was a busy time of year. Along with bringing in the garden harvest, Colonials were preserving meat for the winter. On Saturday October 4, 2025 from 10am to 12pm, join park staff as they preserve meats in various ways, such as, open fire smoking, jerking, and salt curing various meats for the winter.
