The Taste of Green Death

Known as "The Green Death", this simple split pea stew is filled with potatoes, parsnips, onions, and beef tips. Fort St Jean Baptiste and the Natchitoches Picnic Company have partnered to showcase this stew. To learn about the myth behind the  "Green Death" and to watch us prepare it, join us on Saturday, January 21 starting at 12 noon until 2pm. For anyone wanting to sample the stew you can go to the Natchitoches Picnic Company from January 17 to January 21 where they will have it on the menu.
