TEA & TEXTILES: MOURNING CLOTHES

Guests are invited to Fort Jesup for a cup of tea, and a discussion of mourning clothes and mourning practices in the 1800s.  The program will discuss appropriate fabrics and colors for a mourning period, as well as the superstitions that surround this time.  For more information contact us at 318-256-4117.
