School Outreach Programs

Upon request, Longfellow-Evangeline's interpretive staff are available for outreach programs throughout Acadiana. Programs can be adjusted to suit age level and areas of study. Examples of current outreach programs include: children's toys and games in the 1800's, Meet a Coureur de Bois (hunter/trapper who lived off of the land), What do I wear? (the hows and whys of 19th century clothing),The Life of a 19th Century Acadian Child, and This is Unbeweaveable! (a lesson on weaving and chair caning).
