Revolutionary War Reenactment & Living History
October 26th & 27th A Revolutionary War Reenactment & Living History 10 AM- 3PM Audubon State Historic Site remembers the contributions of its own founder who fought in the Revolutionary War in Louisiana with two days of programs centered around the sights and sounds of the campaign.
This weekend the park presents the Revolutionary War in Louisiana for or adult audiences and families. Throughout the day black powder demonstrations of both cannon and flintlock will be presented along with talks on uniforms and camp life. See open hearth cooking demonstrations as well as various period craft demonstrations around the park grounds, and participate in a period dance class. At 2PM Saturday and 1PM Sunday there will be a recreated skirmish by our Revolutionary War Reenactors. For more information please contact the park at 1-225-635-3739.
