Nuestra Historia: Hispanic Americans In Wartime

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month 2023 celebrated from September 15 to October 15, Mansfield State Historic Site will put on a one-hour presentation on those of Hispanic descent that served during the American Civil War and later wars, such as David Farragut of the United States Navy and Santos Benavides of the Confederate Army. Think about how different their experiences were versus others that served. Did their culture shape their lives in the military? Come and find out!
