National Trails Day

Join us on National Trails Day as we continue our efforts eradicating invasive plant species throughout Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site. From 9:30am-12:00pm we will be focusing on the Attakapas Trail (from the Olivier Plantation Home to our reproduction Acadian Cabin) where we will be removing Japanese and Chinese privet, camphor trees and Chinese tallow trees. Participants should wear long pants and apply sunscreen and insect spray. Water will be provided.
