Pre-registered school groups are invited to take a tour on any Thursday throughout the school year. Led by interpretive rangers in period appropriate costumes, students will watch a short introductory video, tour the Maison Olivier, Acadian cabin, and see cool demonstrations. Students will then continue to the Acadian Cabin in order to better compare plantation life to the life of an Acadian Yeoman farmer. If time allows, groups are welcome to explore our Acadian Farmstead area. Demonstrations on spinning, weaving, furs/hides, blacksmithing and the firing of black powder weapons are typically available upon request.
