LIFE BETWEEN THE BATTLES

The average soldier during the American Civil War only experienced combat one day out of thirty; what did they do when they weren't fighting?  Mansfield State Historic Site invites you to come see the answer firsthand!  Visitors will witness what the daily life of a Civil War soldier was like including what they ate, how they trained, and what they did to pass the time during those four, long years of fighting.
