HOMESTEAD ARTS: COOKING ON AN OPEN HEARTH

Guests are invited to Fort Jesup to learn how to cook on a historic open hearth.  Throughout the day a historic demonstration will be conducted in the original kitchen building that will include proper cooking techniques, discussion of historic recipes, and a discussion and demonstration of the types of recipes that would have been cooked on a frontier military fort.  For more information contact us at 318-256-4117.
