Visitors to Poverty Point World Heritage Site are invited to take part in a ranger-led pottery demo Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Visitors will learn about the pottery created and used by Native Americans at Poverty Point 3,500 years ago. After the demonstration, visitors are free to create their own pottery to take home. Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing for a potentially messy program. Treats will be given out to mark Halloween.
