Ghost Ships on the River

A park ranger will lead a night-time tour to Fort Desperate and share stories of paranormal phenomena that has occurred on the battlefield from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, October 23. Following the tour, rangers will perform a night-time firing the the 42-pounder cannon. After the cannon firing, a pyrotechnic demonstration using the model ship fleet re-creating the night-time Port Hudson attack and destruction of the USS Mississippi.
