FORT JESUP HISTORIC HIKE

Guests are invited to join us at the Fort Jesup Museum to begin a guided hike of the Fort Jesup historic markers.  Park Manager, Carrie McCormic, will lead the hike around the grounds to all of the different historic building markers as well as give a talk about the history of Fort Jesup and its soldiers.  The hike will take about 30 minutes and wind its way around the grounds for about half a mile.  The hike will take visitors off the paved walkways to reach the hospital site, and so there may be some slight inclines. The hike is appropriate for ages 4 and up, but once we step off the walkways due to inclines and natural barriers this route is not accessible for mobility devices.
