- 11:30 am
Home School groups are encouraged to attend this program at Audubon State Historic Site on Friday, Feb. 10 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. On this day, preregistered Home School Groups get a glimpse the life of the Enslaved who lived and worked at Oakley Plantation by way of a recreated archaeology dig. Students get a hands on experience as they find and document their discoveries while trying to discover the items meaning. Afterwards students visit an original 200 year old cabin and see how close their ideas came to fact. For home school students grade levels 4-7. Preregistration is required and numbers limited. Site grounds fees are applied. For more information please contact Audubon State Historic Site at 225-635-3739.
