Fire Power!

The Port Hudson State Historic Site staff and volunteers will conduct live demonstrations with Civil War era weapons on Sunday, Sept. 4 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The program will start with a cannon demonstration followed by small arms; muskets, rifled-muskets, carbines, edged weapons, and pistols. We close the program with the firing of the park's 42-pounder seacoast siege cannon.
