Since 1881, many Acadians in North America and Europe celebrate August 15 as the feast of Our Lady of the Assumption, patroness of the Acadians. Visit Longfellow-Evangeline on Saturday, August 15, 2026, to learn more about the Acadian exile and resettlement of Louisiana.
