FETE NATIONALE/NATIONAL DAY OF THE ACADIANS

Celebrate la Fete Nationale de l'Acadie (National Acadian Day) with a visit Longfellow-Evangeline. See how Acadians found a new homeland in South Louisiana at the Interpretive Center and Farmstead. 
Since 1881, many Acadians in North America and Europe celebrate August 15 as the feast of Our Lady of the Assumption, patroness of the Acadians. Visit Longfellow-Evangeline on Saturday, August 15, 2026, to learn more about the Acadian exile and resettlement of Louisiana.

All who wish to celebrate Acadian heritage are invited to this year's festivities in town.
