FETE NATIONALE/NATIONAL DAY OF THE ACADIANS

Celebrate la Fête Nationale de l'Acadie (National Acadian Day) with a visit Longfellow-Evangeline! See how Acadians found a new homeland in South Louisiana at the Interpretive Center and Farmstead. 
In 1881, Acadian delegates in Canada chose August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, as a national holiday for all Acadians. 
All who wish to celebrate Acadian heritage are invited to this year's festivities in town. Staff can direct you to the party after your visit to the park.
