Encampment at Oakley Plantation

This program will focus on the end of the Civil War at Oakley plantation in and around 1865. Living history volunteers will drill and set camps around the occupied plantation home and will be portraying a Federal occupation force. The public will learn about how this territory was occupied by Federal forces and how they impacted the life on the plantation. This program is being hosted by the Trans Mississippi Hellcats living history organization.
