Daily House Tour

Site Staff will guide visitors on a 15-minute tour of the Rosedown Main House daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.  The tour will encompass the 120 years of ownership by the Turnbull-Bowman Family, the restoration and ownership of the property by the Underwoods of Houston, and the purchase and ownership of the property by the State of Louisiana.  Discussed will be the cultural landscape of the 19th century, the customs and traditions of the upper class planter family, the lives and contributions of the enslaved workers on the plantation, and the furnishings on display in the Main House.
