CREOLE HERITAGE DAY

October 26, 2025 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Louisiana Creoles are the descendants of colonial-era Europeans and Africans who founded a rich culture here in the Bayou State. In observance of International Creole Day, come out to Longfellow for a celebration of Creole heritage on Sunday, October 26. Tour the museum and Maison Oliver, an 1815 Creole plantation home, for a glimpse into 19th century life. At 2:00 pm in the AV room, join a sharing circle of Creole stories, language, music, art and more!
