Civil War School Day

The Audubon State Historic Site Civil War School Day is set for Friday, April 22, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The program commemorates the October 1864 skirmish between soldiers of the North and South over the grounds of the plantation. Students will go through different stations explaining life for soldiers during the Civil War. These stations will include cannon and musket firing demonstrations, costume talks, drills, camp life, food, and medical demonstrations.  Preregistration is required and space is limited.
