Christmas on the Frontier

Guests are invited to Fort Jesup SHS to join us in a celebration of an 1800s Christmas.  There will be an open hearth cooking demonstration in the early part of the day, as well as historic children's games and activities through out the day.  The afternoon will culminate with an opportunity at 2:00 p.m. for children to make historic Christmas ornaments and enjoy Christmas cookies, cocoa, and apple cider in the museum while listening to a classic Christmas tale read by one of our living historians.  For more information please contact us at 318-256-4117.
