BIRDING HIKE

Chirp chirp! Join us on Saturday, April 11 for the birding hike at Poverty Point World Heritage Site. A 1.5 mile expert-led hike will take visitors through a portion of the earthworks to identify bird species that you can see and hear along the way! This event begins at the visitors center at 10 a.m. with an introductory talk from Roselie Overby, Master Naturalist. Visitors should bring smart phones for those who want to use the Merlin Bird ID app to help identify birds during the hike.
