AN ELEGANT HAND: PENMANSHIP IN THE 1800S

Guests are invited to Fort Jesup to learn the basics of calligraphy and penmanship in the 1800s.  The program will include demonstrations with the different types of ink pens that were available at the time, a discussion on calligraphy and penning techniques, and a demonstration on how to mix ink powders.  Guests will have the opportunity to try their hands at writing in the 1800s style.  For more information contact us at 318-256-4117.
