October 11, 2025 9:00 am
- 5:00 pm
Guests are invited to participate in a colonial life program at Fort Jesup discussing what life in Spanish Louisiana would look like at the beginning of the American Revolution. Living historians will be onsite giving demonstrations of colonial life, military life, and crafts of the late 1700 and early 1800s. A staff member at Fort Jesup will also speak at noon, on how Spanish Louisiana was affected by the American Revolution, and what help Galvez offered to the Colonial Army, as well as how this relationship with Spain later contributed to the Treaty of Adams-Onis and the development of Fort Jesup.
