13TH ANNUAL STIR THE POT COOK-OFF

Stir the Pot: Seafood & Wild Game Cook-Off Festival is back at Palmetto Island State Park in Abbeville on April 11, 2026, and it's shaping up to be a full day of food, music, nature, and family fun! This beloved annual festival brings together talented cook teams serving up incredible seafood and wild game dishes, all competing for bragging rights while guests enjoy tasting the rich flavors of Louisiana. The day also features live music by The Cajun Company Band, morning DJ entertainment, raffles, auctions, and interactive booths from nature-related organizations. Visitors will get to enjoy the famous Abbeville Red Iris, which will be in full bloom during the festival; a stunning sight and a true symbol of our area's natural beauty. An iris expert will be on site giving a special talk about the restoration work being done to help preserve and protect this treasured native flower. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the park, this event is perfect for families, outdoor lovers, and anyone who enjoys great music and even better cooking.
