Creole Christmas

Take a tour of the Olivier Plantation Home circa 1815 and see the lovely natural, period-appropriate Christmas decorations each day from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. December 6 - December 27. Visitors will learn how the holiday was celebrated by Creole plantation owners in the mid 1800's. A temporary exhibit called Christmas Past will be on display in the Interpretive Center providing information on Christmas traditions and how certain holiday customs evolved. Special demonstrations for pre-registered groups are available. School groups are to register in advance by calling 337.394.3754
