Fire Power!

The Port Hudson State Historic Site will conduct interpretive demonstrations with Civil War era weapons on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m . The event will begin with a cannon demonstration using field artillery followed by small arms: musket, rifled-musket, carbines, and pistols. We conclude with firing of the parks' 42-pounder siege cannon.
