Atchafalaya Month

In recognition of Atchafalaya Month, a display will be set up in the Interpretive Center showcasing the Atchafalaya Basin as the nation's largest river swamp, containing almost one million acres of America's most significant bottomland hardwoods, swamps, bayous and back water lakes. An informational video on the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area is available in French and English upon request. The display can be viewed at Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. during the month of October. For more information, call 337.394.3754
